I 40 BRIDGE AT WEBBERS FALLS OPEN TO TRAFFIC,
BOTH EAST & WEST BOUND !

We are all saddened by the loss of 14 lives, when a barge veered from the designated navigation channel and struck the piers supporting the bridge, resulting in the collapse of about a 600 foot section of the roadway into the Arkansas River. Our hearts and prayers go out to the families who lost loved ones in this accident.

To the workers of Gilbert Central Corp. A hearty THANK YOU ALL, for your speedy repairs to the I 40 bridge. Your bonus is well deserved, enjoy it !

There are many facts about "road construction" that we should all remind our government officials of. Mainly, it doesn't take forever to do these jobs. The remarkable amount of repairs that have been made in the past two months demonstrate this fact. Not only did the I 40 bridge get rebuilt but new bypass roads were constructed and miles of repaving took place. And, I might add, all done with I 40 re-routed traffic using the roads at the same time.
